In a centralized word, the sovereign individual must wield decentralized knowledge and technologies to secure prosperity and liberty.

Welcome, dear visitor to my humble blog!

My name is Felix, I’m a Neuroscientist and IT consultant. I’m a nerd who likes to learn about new technologies and read Science Fiction. As a Bitcoiner, I am also keenly aware of the need to protect your privacy and stay independent of centralized third parties. So, part of the Blog will certainly revolve around tech topics such as Cybersecurity and AI. I don’t like tech jargon. I think any core concept, if its any good, should be understandable by an educated layperson, and I hope I can achieve that in my posts.

I am also more and more interested by philosophy, in particular the philosophy of economics. We live in a world of scarce resources, but the desires of humans are infinite. So how can we ensure, those resources are allocated to their most productive use while minimizing violence and conflict? Again, as with technology, I believe decentralization is king. Only a free market, consisting of voluntary win-win interactions empowers individuals and benefits society as a whole. In some posts I will theorize how current institutions that are still based on coercion could be implemented in a free, voluntary society.

The curious task of economics is to demonstrate to men how little they really know about what they imagine that they can design. To the naïve mind that can conceive of order only as the product of deliberate arrangement, it may seem absurd that in complex conditions order, and adaptation to the unknown, can be achieved more effectively by decentralizing decisions and that a division of authority will actually extend the possibility of overall order.
